Pregnancy requires extra caution with essential oils. While some oils are considered safe in moderation during the second and third trimesters, many should be completely avoided.

Guidelines

  1. Avoid ALL essential oils in the first trimester
  2. Use only well-studied oils in 2nd/3rd trimester
  3. Keep dilutions at 1% or less
  4. Prefer inhalation over topical application
  5. Always consult your healthcare provider
