In this post we’re going to introduce you to doTERRA’s TerraShield repellent blend or outdoor blend. This is the blend that you’ll use to naturally repel insects. Its effects are simply awesome. doTERRA TerraShield smells really good. It comes in the standard 15 ml bottles and you can also get this in a 30 millimeter spray bottle. What is in doTERRA TerraShield?
Let’s see all the great essential oils present in this doTERRA blend. The list is long, but here we go! We have ylang ylang, cedarwood wood, vanilla bean, African sandalwood, Hawaiian sandalwood, citronella and eucalyptus and coconut oils, among others. You can see the complete (and pretty long) list on doTERRA’s official website. All those oils are going to be very good at repelling, especially citronella essential oil. Some are insecticidal, so it’s a great combination. And the fraction of coconut oils in there will help weigh those essential oils down, they don’t evaporate as quickly, so you get a prolonged effect. You want to repel those insects for as long as you can!

A couple of other fun facts about this oil, actually, one other favorite fun fact. If you’re the kind of person who’s very empathetic and you take on other people’s emotions or what’s going on when you don’t necessarily have to, this is a really great oil to use as a perfume or when you’re going into a situation where you know, you might be prone to do that to kind of help you make sure that you care for them well, love them well, but that you don’t take on anything that you don’t have to.
